HILTZ, Ivan Glendon, Kingston, NS ~ passed away suddenly at home, November 23, 2018. Born in Middleton, he was a son of the late Oran and Edith Hiltz. Ivan worked in the planning mill for Hefler's Lumber Mill. Prior to that he worked at Acadian Seaplants as a boom truck operator and ran the dryer. In his younger years he moved out west and was a welder, working with various companies. He also worked on the Expo project in Montreal. In his spare time Ivan enjoyed fishing, motorcycling, camping, baseball and watching movies. He will be sadly missed by his wife, Patricia "Patsy" Blenus, Kingston; sister, Janeen (John) Mills, Ottawa, Ont.; brother, Larry Hiltz, Edmonton, Alta; step sons, Ian Blenus, Kingston, Matthew Blenus, Auburn, Brian Blenus, Kingston; grandchildren, Connor Blenu, Jaydon Blenus, Nathalia; niece, Lisa Buder, Ottawa, Ont.; nephew, Daniel Bond, Ottawa, Ont. Besides his parents he was predeceased by several aunts and uncles. Cremation has taken place and there will be a Celebration of Life at a later date. Interment will be in the North Kingston Cemetery. Donations in Ivan's memory can be made to Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia.
