CHEW, Jacqueline "Jackie" Waite - 79 of Hampton passed away Thursday, December 22, 2011 in Mountain Lea Lodge, Bridgetown. Born in McMasterville, Quebec she was a daughter of the late Arthur Waite and Ada Jane (Ormerod) Chew. Jackie was employed as a clerk with CP Rail for twenty-one years as well as working part time in concessions at the Montreal Forum, finally retiring in 1997 from Marianopolis College. Around 1965 the family moved to a farm and Jackie boarded horses while working at CP Rail. She was also an avid gardener. Jackie is survived by her daughter Kathryn "Kippy" Keen (Brian Groulx), Hampton and granddaughter Carol Ann Brewster, Montreal. She was predeceased by brother, Donald Chew and sister, Shirley. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held 2:00PM on Tuesday, December 27, 2011 in the Middleton Funeral Home 398 Main St., (902) 825-3448.
