Jacqueline Dawn
Marshall
October 8, 1957 – April 11, 2025
It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of our mother Jacqueline "Jackie" Dawn Marshall (67- of Harmony, Kings Co.) on Friday, April 11th, 2025, after a brief illness. Mom was a competitor, and she fought as hard as she would have when playing a game of badminton against her grandchildren, who she never let win. We were able to send her to be with the love of her life peacefully, with us by her side.
She was predeceased by her husband, James Gregory "Greg" Marshall; dad, Frank MacGregor; mom, Elaine MacGregor; sister, Cindy Tidman; brother, Rick MacGregor. She is survived by her daughters, Cocanda Lowe, Keisha Lowe (Burton Duguay) and Brittany (Philip) Freundlich; grandchildren, Nathan, Jillian, Stella, and Matthew; best friend, Joy; and brother, Barry (Tammy) MacGregor
We remember Mom for her endless words of wisdom and desire to see us succeed. She always made sure we knew how proud of us she was. Along with the titles of mom, wife, and friend, her favourite title was nanny. She took pride in her grandchildren who she loved to spoil and make memories with.
Those left behind to mourn the loss of mom knew her to be kind, full of life, and always with a smile on her face. She was a giver, making sure those around her never went without. She was young at heart and loved to play. From cribbage and scrabble, to bowling or lawn games, challenging anyone who was up to the competition, knowing she'd walk away with bragging rights.
An avid reader, Mom was often found with her nose in a book either by the pool or curled up on the couch. In her memory, donations can be made to the Kingston branch of Annapolis Valley Regional Library. As per Mom's wishes, there will be no funeral service. A celebration of life with family will be held on the farm at a later date.
Special thanks to Middleton Collaborative Practice, the palliative care team, Dr. Silver, and Dr. MacDonald. We are forever grateful for your kindness and compassion.
