Ralph
May 18, 1930 – June 3, 2016
RALPH, Jacqueline Betty - 86, of Kingston, NS, passed away Friday, June 3, 2016 in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville, NS. Born in Bridgetown, NS, she was the daughter of the late Carman L. Piggott and Dorothy (Little) Piggott. After attending Acadia University, Jackie returned to Bridgetown to work at the Royal Bank of Canada and at her father's theatre. While in Bridgetown, she was an avid curler, golfer, enjoyed fishing and played the piano (and sometimes the accordion) at the Bridgetown curling rink or at any house that had one. In 1968 Jackie and her husband Fred moved west to Courtenay, B.C., returning again to the Valley in 1974. She worked as a bookkeeper for various businesses in and around Kingston, and was often called upon by friends for tax advice. Jackie really enjoyed her time at the cottage at Hampton, NS, and the company of those along the bluffs. Jackie leaves behind her sons Rick (Winnipeg) and Jim (Port Hawkesbury), granddaughter Kayla (Bedford), nephews Stephen and Jeffery (Dartmouth), Simon the cat, and an unfinished bottle of Glenfiddich. She was predeceased by her husband Fred Ralph, and brother, Carman L. "Bun" Piggott. Cremation has taken place and by request, there will be no service or visitation. In celebration of Jackie's life, a reception will be held from 2-4 PM, Saturday, June 11, 2016 at Valley Wing RCAFA, 904 Central Avenue, Greenwood. The family is grateful to the doctors, nurses and staff at Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville, and Soldiers Memorial Hospital, Middleton. The family would also like to extend a special thank-you to Dana McNamara-Morse for her support and to Dr. Natasha Cairns at the Greenwood Animal Hospital. Donations can be made to Valley Regional Hospital, 150 Exhibition Street, Kentville, NS B4N 5E3; Solders Memorial Hospital Foundation, P.O.
