Obituary

COOK, James Andrew "Jim" – age 73 of Central Clarence formerly of Cookville, NS passed away on Wednesday, October 4, 2017 in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville, NS. Born in Bridgewater, he was a son of the late Gordon and Edith "Idella" (Wentzell) Cook. Jim spent most of his life dairy farming and loved his John Deere tractors. He had previously been employed with the Farmers Co-op in Bridgewater. Jim's life was farming and his family. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, the former Dianne Hebb; daughter, Anne-Marie Cook, Digby; sons, Andrew (Jody) Cook, Kitchener, ON; Alan (Crystal) Cook, Central Clarence; sisters, Edith Hall, Bridgewater; Helen Cook, Truro; brother, Everett (Margaret) Cook, Pine Grove; grandchildren Carter, Rorie and Ella and numerous nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sister Lucille Silver; brother Donnie Cook; sister-in-law Marjorie Cook and brother-in-law Wally Hall. In keeping with Jim's wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation or service. Donations in Jim's memory may be made to the VON Annapolis Valley Branch; Lymphoma Research Foundation Canada; Heart & Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or charity of your choice.
