Stoddart, James Edward - age 68 of Meadowvale, Kings Co., passed away on August 16, 2017, in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville, with his family by his side. Born in Middleton, he was a son of the late Lindsay and Elizabeth (Burns) Stoddart. James is survived by his wife, Clarice; his two sons, Jimmy (Laura) Stoddart, Inglisville, and grandchildren, Anthony and Rebecca; Johnny (Brenda) Stoddart, Nictaux, and grandchildren, Jeffery and Kelly; sisters, Alice (Dennis) Dahr, Auburn; Carolyn King, Clarence; brother, Ronald (Wilma) Stoddart, South Williamson; half-sister, Stella Brewer, Halifax; brothers-in-law, William Raymond, Weymouth; Vernon Raymond, Sydney; Clyde Raymond, Yarmouth; Gary Raymond, Wilmot; sister-in-law,  Verna (Morris) Young, Lunenburg; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his first wife, the former Jean (Connell); and his daughter, Jacqueline; brothers, Raymond, Harold and Wayne; sisters, Dorothy and Myrna; half-brothers, Floyd and Leslie; half-sisters, Viola, Isabell and Laura. There will be visitation from 7:00 to 9:00 PM Saturday, August 19th at the Middleton Funeral Home 398 Main Street 902-825-3448, from where a funeral service will be held at 2:00PM Sunday, August 20, 2017 with Rev. Dean Dickinson and Rev. Tony Stoddart officiating. Interment will be in the Fairview Cemetery in Lawrencetown, NS. Donations in James memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
