T OLBA R T , James Willis – age 89 passed away suddenly at his home on Frida y , April 21, 2017. Born February 18, 1928 in Middleton, NS he was a son of the late James and Hallie T olbart. James worked as a Head Chef with the Canadian Forces College Military Base, T oronto, ON retiring after 35 years of service. He was a f fectionately known as "TJ" and " T ony" by those close to him. In his younger years, James worked as a cook in Greenwood, NS and taught school in Windso r , NS. James loved fashion, western films, country and gospel music and most of all having yard sales. He had a great sense of humo r , love of life, always had a smile and always helped those in need. He was very loving to his family and his beloved dogs. He will be sadly missed by his daughte r , Janet T olbart, Brampton, ON; niece, Gwen T olbart, W ashington, DC; siste r , Catherine T olbart, Middleton; brothe r , Harold (Buck) T olbart T renton, ON; numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends; his devoted caretaker angels Karen McIntyre, Grafton, NS and Michelle Aubin, Middleton, NS and his loving dog, T roubles. James was predeceased by his Parents, James and Hallie T olbart, his siblings, Ella Hill, Jimmy Jackson, Ralph Jackson, Madeline Stevens, Frank T olbart and Hazel Davis. A v isitation will be held 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Frida y , April 28, 2017 in the Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main St., (902) 825-3448 from where a funeral service will take place at 2:00 PM, Saturday, April 29th  with Missionary Theresa Character officiating. Interment will be at Pine Grove Cemeter y , Middleton. A reception for family and friends will be held at the funeral home following the interment. The family will accept flowers or donations in James ' s memory made to the Children ' s Wish Foundation of Canada, Nova Scotia Chapte r .
