Jane Louise
Vincent
July 12, 2025
Jane died suddenly at the age of 69 on July 12, 2025 in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Middleton, she was the daughter of the late Douglas and Mildred (Lewis) Payson.
She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Kerry; children, Ryan, Kate, and Ben; brothers, Steve (Marina) Payson and Brad (Jenny) Payson.
Jane was so many things to so many people. The most amazing mother, wife and friend.
She had an incredible life. She traveled for many years, and along with her husband Kerry, raised three children while living in different countries around the world before settling back in the place she held in her heart, Nova Scotia.
Jane was strong, smart and funny. She was brave and independent. She touched many lives with her intelligence and her empathy. Her husband, Kerry, was her best friend, and her kids meant everything to her, and she made sure they knew it. She made them laugh every day and was always there for them during tough times and celebrated their successes as she would her own. She was a talented rug hooker, a wonderful cook and enjoyed collecting vinyl records.
Jane loved her horse, Holiday, and spent every moment she could with him. After he died in 2023, she traveled to Alberta to find and bring home her new horse, Forest, a five year old Rocky Mountain, who she loved just as much. She spent every morning working with him with her expert trainer, Amy, and taking him for walks. And when she wasn't patiently preparing him for the moment when she could take him out riding the beautiful network of trails around "the barn" where she kept him at Hobby Horse Farm, she was walking with her many good friends there.
Her love for her family and friends was absolute and unconditional, and we will miss her so much.
Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation or funeral service, by request. Donations in memory may be made to Hope for Wildlife or a charity of one's choice.
