COMEAU, Janice Marie – age 59 of Nictaux, NS passed away peacefully at home on Monday, November 14, 2016. Born in Cheticamp, NS, Janice was the daughter of Roger and Irene (Wilson) Comeau. In her early career, Janice worked in Alberta with Husky Oil. Later she worked as an engineering assistant with the Department of Transportation in Middleton and also with Community Services in Yarmouth. Janice also had her own business as a seamstress and had recently taken training to be a financial coach in hopes of helping others with their financial planning. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends and watching movies. She was a member of the Middleton Baptist Church. Janice is survived by her husband Darrell Benjamin Leeman; daughters Jill (Jeff) Ruggles of Halifax and Tamara Saulnier (Chris Arnold) of Halifax; brothers Larry of Toronto, ON, Mike of Meteghan, NS and Paul of Ottawa, ON; 2 grandchildren Jake and Carly Ruggles. Janice was predeceased by her brother Greg Comeau. In keeping with Janice's wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 11AM, Friday, November 18, 2016 in the Middleton Baptist Church with Rev. Robyn McCoombs officiating. Interment will be in the Nictaux Cemetery.
