Janice Margaret Pawson

April 30, 1959 - November 28, 2023

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Janice Margaret Pawson who died peacefully surrounded by family at the Valley Regional Hospital on November 28, 2023 at the age of 64. Janice grew up in Torbrook Mines, Nova Scotia and is predeceased by her parents Florence (Banks) and Lloyd Pawson. She attended Middleton Regional High School and then later graduated from Acadia University in Wolfville, NS.

Janice was a loving wife and partner to Ron MacDow and a mother to his two daughters Zita MacDow and Raya (MacDow) Delaney, who will miss her dearly. She leaves behind grandchildren Pheida and Norah Delaney; nephews Duncan and Sean MacDow; niece and nephew Fiona and Ciarán MacGillivray.

Janice worked in accounting for several years while living in Middle Sackville, NS before retiring to her and Ron's beloved home on Lake George, NS. She was known for her laughter and warm smile and will always be remembered by her many friends and family for the joy she brought to others' lives. She enjoyed telling stories and spending time with her loved ones, cooking and entertaining, travel, reading, and creative endeavours such as toll painting. Holidays were a favourite time of year for her and she loved decorating and baking, especially at Christmas.

Janice showed tremendous strength through her years as she battled an aggressive form of Multiple Sclerosis. She always encouraged her family and friends to live their lives to the fullest and to not take time and opportunities for granted. As per her wishes, there will be no funeral or memorial service.
