Cater, Jannie Lee – 65, of Kingston, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 23, 2026 at home. Born in Middleton, she was a daughter of the late Gene and Eileen (Wood) Taylor. Jannie had a love for dogs and life itself. Whether she was outside enjoying nature, going to bingo, shopping or going to yardsales, she was a kind and caring friend to all. Surviving is her husband of 18 years, Mark Cater; daughter, Melissa (Gerret) Andrews, Chester; grandchildren, Dylan, Teirgan, Kadance; sister, Mary Lou Taylor, Lawrencetown; half-sister Nancy Lee Taylor, Bridgetown; half-brothers Gene Jr. Taylor; Joey Taylor; aunts, Barb (Roy) Ramey, Bridgetown; Marilyn Shearer, Bridgetown; Lorraine (Randy) Neily, Lawrencetown; uncle, Ted (Patti) Beals, Grand Prairie, AB; nephews, William “Billy Joe”, Greggery, Travis; and special friends, Aileen Hannam, Nictaux; Nancy Piercey, Kingston; Larry Walsh, Kingston. Along with her parents and many beloved dogs, she was predeceased by an infant son and her sister, Christine Rouke. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 7, 2026 in Fairview Cemetery, Lawrencetown. Rev. Dr. Danny Smith officiating.
