ADSHADE, Jean Louise ~ 95 of Barton, Digby Co., passed away Wednesday, March 20, 2019, in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Barton, she was a daughter of the late Arthur and Bessie (Bragg) Lambertson. Jean graduated from the business college in Digby and then moved to Brantford, Ont. to work as a bookkeeper. Later she returned to Digby to work as an accountant at MacDonald Motors. Following her employment there, she went to work for Canada Post as post mistress in Barton, from where she retired. Jean was long time member of St. Mary's Bay Baptist Church, serving as treasurer for many years. She will be missed by her community and her family. Jean is survived by her sons, William "Bill" of Barton and Robert of Hatchet Lake, Hfx. Co.; grandchildren, William Adshade and Kimberly (Adam) Ferguson; great grandchildren, Jace and Evelyn. She was predeceased by her brothers, Lawrence and Reginald. Visitation will be held from 6 – 8 pm, Sunday, March 24 ^th in St. Mary's Bay Baptist Church, Barton from where the funeral service will be held at 11:00 am, Monday, March 25 ^th with Rev. Roy Bertaux and Rev. Lori Bertaux officiating, Interment will be held in the Barton Community Cemetery, followed by a reception in the church hall. By request, family flowers only.
