ACKER, Jean Elizabeth- age 83 of Kingston, NS passed away peacefully on Friday, August 7, 2015 in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Middleton, she was a daughter of the late Fred and Oressa (Eisnor) Parker. Jean married Everett Acker in 1951 and were married for 56 years. She lived in Kingston all her life and enjoyed camping and baking. Jean devoted her life to raising her family and loved her family dearly, especially all her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is survived by her sons, Vaughn (Jolanta), Young's Cove; Doug (Patricia), New Minas; Troy (Jennifer), Aylesford; her sister, Winnifred (Delbert) Prime, Spryfield; her grandchildren, Sheena, Caleb, Lewis, Krystal (Gary), Ashley (Cory), Chase and Connor; five great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by husband, Everett. Visitation will be held from 2:30PM until the service begins at 3:30PM Thursday, August 13, 2015 in the Kingston United Baptist Church with Rev. Paul Bannister and Rev. Leon Langille officiating. Interment will be in the Kingston United Cemetery. Donations in memory may be made to the charity of choice.
