Jean Mae Lynch

Lynch, Jean Mae (Chesley), 91, of Aylesford, Kings Co, NS, passed away June 30, 2026, at the Valley Hospice, Kentville, NS. Born in Millville, she was the firstborn daughter of the late Oscar and Reta (Jones) Chesley. Jean worked a few years at Graves factory before marrying her husband Paul Lynch and moving to Manitoba. She then lived in New Brunswick several years before moving back to Nova Scotia where she was a housewife and raised five children. 

She was a devoted mother, grandmother and friend. She will be remembered for her kindness and generosity and the great love she had for her family. Jean dedicated her life to Jehovah in 1953 and was a faithful member of the Kingston congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses until her death. 

Jean will be dearly missed by her children, son, Stephen Lynch; daughters, Cheri Batty (Greg), Cheryl Mills (David), Lisa Melanson, four grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and two sisters, Violet Augot and Sylvia Dorey. She was predeceased by her husband, Paul Lynch and daughter, Heather Bennett. 

The family would like to thank the many VON nurses who cared for mom over the years and the wonderful staff at the Valley Hospice. A memorial service will be held at 2:00pm on Sunday, August 2, 2026, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 337 Highway 1, Kingston, NS.
