RUGGLES, Jean Agustus - 90 of Nictaux, passed away Friday, December 20, 2013 in Soldiers' Memorial Hospital, Middleton. Born in Middleton, she was a daughter of the late Percy and Ruby (Dodge) Neily. In early years Jean worked as an operator with Maritime Tel & Tel and later helped her husband Wylie on the family farm. She enjoyed knitting, was an avid reader and also enjoyed country music. Jean is survived by her sons Gary and Charles (Bunny), both of Nictaux and Dwight, Bridgetown. Grandsons Christopher and Dennis (Melissa); sister-in-law, Jean Neily, Ontario and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Wylie, sisters Audrey "Joan" Solsman and Colleen Beckwith; brothers Zane, Ronald and Bertram. Cremation has taken place and by request, there will be no visitation. A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 24th, 2013 in the Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main St., (902) 825-3448, Rev. Bill McLeod officiating. A reception will be held following the service. Private family interment will be in the Nictaux Cemetery. Donations in memory may be made to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation or the Soldiers' Memorial Hospital Foundation. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Middleton Funeral Home.
