SPICER, Jean Marie ~ Age 90 of Middleton and formerly of Welsford, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 12, 2019 in the Shannex Blomidon Court, Greenwich, NS. Born in Berwick, she was the daughter of the late Edwin and Ida (Burrill) Fisher. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Mom and Dad moved from Welsford to Port George in 1977, after Dads passing, Mom moved to Middleton. Mom was a very direct lady and always spoke her mind. She was an Avon Representative for many years throughout Annapolis County, an avid bowler and enjoyed attending antique car shows with Dad. She was also a member of the Kingston Seniors Club. In later years, Mom enjoyed going on bus tours with Dad and friends visiting Nashville, The Madeline Islands, to name a couple, she was always a woman on the go. At the homestead in Welsford at dinner time Mom took pleasure in blowing "her dinner horn" (which could be heard throughout Welsford ) to let the family know the meal was ready. During her driving days, Mom was known to have a "heavy foot" and be a bit of a "speed demon"! . Our Mother will be deeply missed by her daughter, Nancy Kaizer, Berwick; sons, Paul (Sharon) Spicer, Auburn; Peter (Joanne) Spicer, South Farmington; James Spicer, Ontario and Darren Spicer, Auburn; grandchildren Laura (Ryan) Croft, Shubenacadie; Jodi (Kirk) Spicer-Outhouse, Auburn; Holly Kaizer, Berwick and Robyn Spicer (Shawn Ryerson), Aylesford; great-grandchildren, Morgan Croft; Hunter Croft and Raelynn Ryerson. Besides her parents, Mom was predeceased by our father Murray; brothers, Frank, Bill, Bob, George, Fred and sisters, Nellie, Isabelle and Marge. In keeping with Mom's wishes, cremation has taken place. A visitation and reception for family and friends will be held in the Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main Street, 902-825-3448 on Monday, April 15, at 2pm. Private family interment will be in the Berwick Cemetery. Donations in memory may be made to the Berwick Cemetery PO Box 367, Cottage St. Berwick NS B0P1E0.
