HOWE, Jennette "Jan" Hattie - age 72, Nictaux, Annapolis Co., formerly of Ottawa, Ont., passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 22, 2015, at home surrounded by her loved ones after a courageous battle with ovarian cancer. Born in Kingston, Ont., she was the eldest daughter of the late Howard and Bernice (Knight) Lynch. Jan worked for many years as an established hairdresser as well as a long-time D.N.D. employee. In her later years she graduated from college and worked passionately in a nursing career. Mom loved and lived life to the fullest. She is survived by her loving son, Howard (Sandy), Merritt, B.C.; daughter, Shelley; son, John, both of Nictaux; eight grandchildren whom she adored, Tamarra, Tyler, Kendra, Justin, Brianna, Kristyn, Kyla and Erica; brothers, Robert (Marylin) Lynch, Pembroke, Ont; Lawrence (Lorraine) Lynch, Williamsburg, Ont.; sisters, Margaret Mason and Beverly Kadikoff, both of Ottawa, Ont.; many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by brothers, Richard and David Lynch. Cremation has taken place, and there will be no visitation. A service in celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
