Obituary

WEBSTER, Jennie O. ~ family of the late Jennie O. Webster would like to announce the passing of their mother, who was the matriarch of the family, on Wednesday, March 11, 2020, in Soldiers Memorial Hospital, Middleton. Born on August 21, 1927, in Pleasant Lake, Yarmouth Co., she was a daughter to the late Lyman Sr. and Minnie (Spates) Earle.  Jennie was predeceased by her husband Ray (1973); son Brian (2006); brothers Lyman (Wynona); Ralph (Alice); Everett (Bernice); Russell (Marjorie); Gertrude (Don Hooper); Grace Earle, sister in law; and Kay Webster, daughter in law.

Jennie worked for Enserink's Nursery, her love for flowers could be seen at her home. She was a wonderful cook, braiding dough at Easter time and filling her home with homemade goods. Mum loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, reading books to them and cooking their favorite foods, never forgetting their birthdays. Her laugh radiated throughout every room. Mum's favorite place was Pleasant Lake, sitting at the fish shack, watching the dipping of kiacks. Jennie is survived by her children, Don, Antigonish; his family, Dawn (Matt), Victoria, BC; their children, Amelia, Sarah, Jack; Kevin (Asha), his daughter Makenzie, Halifax; Kirk, Aylesford his daughter Ava; Michael (partner Melissa) his children Chevy, Mikayla, her children Cassidy, Dana, and Sara, Kentville; Gloria Murray, Truro, her children Jason (Katrina) Matthews, Truro, their children Payton, Paige, Payce; Jennifer Matthews, Kingston her children Ashalen, Quinnlen, Paloma, Luchien, Maizie, Jamani, and brother, Clyde Earle, Shannex, Wolfville; many nieces and nephews, and Dawn Robar, daughter in law, Aylesford.

There will be no visitation by family request. Memorial service will be held Wednesday March 18, 2020 at 2pm in the Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main Street, Middleton, with Rev. Leon Langille officiating. Private family burial in the Aylesford Union Cemetery. The reception has been cancelled at the Aylesford Fire Hall due to public health and safety concerns. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Mid-Valley Palliative Care or Canadian Red Cross.
