Obituary

BARON, Joan Maxine - Kingston, NS, passed away Friday, April 24, 2015 in Heart of the Valley Long Term Care, Middleton. Born in Kingston, NS, she was a daughter of the late Victor and Rosie Idella (Bruce) Durling. Joan was retired from Eaton's, Vancouver and K'Mart, Lower Sackville. Her hobbies included cooking, traveling and being an Avon Sales Representative. She was a member of the Kingston Baptist Church, Kingston Branch #98 Royal Canadian Legion Ladies Auxiliary and a former member of the Kingston Seniors Club. Joan is survived by sons, Dale Bundus, Montreal; Ted (Sheila) Bundus, Moose Jaw, Sask; sister, Jean (Alfred) Hartlen, Truro. Grandchildren; Ryann; Shayne; Kristina and great grandchildren, Emma, Ryley, Rayn and Wyatt. She was predeceased by her first husband, Edward Bundus and second husband, William Baron and a sister, June O'Donnell. Cremation has taken place. A graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 30th, 2015 in the North Kingston Cemetery, Rev. Leon Langille officiating. Donations in memory may be made to Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia, Arthritis Society of Nova Scotia or Kingston Baptist Church.
