DUGGAN, Joan Dorothy Elizabeth ~ age 91, of Kentville, NS passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 10, 2023 in the Valley Hospice. Born in Halifax, NS, she was a daughter of the late Ella "Hilda" (Morris) and Jack Mulholland. Joan was an avid curler and a member of the Glooscap Curling Club, Kentville. She loved her family dearly, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren, who were her entire world. Joan was an independent and strong-willed woman and adored all animals. She will be missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her daughters, Heather Duggan, Bedford; Belinda Duggan, Red Deer, Alberta; sons, Wayne Duggan (Judy Hirsch), British Columbia; Paul Duggan, Middle Sackville; sisters, Sharon (Wally) Armstrong, Vaughan, Hants Co.; Beverley (George) Folden, Texas; brother-in-law, Herbie Westlake; grandchildren, Jaymie (Kyle) Kelly, Coldbrook; Nicole Illsley (Todd Sparkes), Coldbrook; Brittney Illsley, New Minas; Aimee Duggan, British Columbia; Keelan Duggan, Red Deer, Alberta; Jaden Duggan, Red Deer, Alberta; Kathleen (Sean) Skinner, Red Deer, Alberta; great grandchildren Kennedy, London, Lane, Brooke, Bailee, Emma. Owen and Jackson and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Dodie Westlake and brother, Roland Mulholland. In keeping with Joan's wishes, cremation has taken place and a family graveside service will take place at a later date. Donations in her memory may be made to the Valley Hospice Foundation.
