GAUL, Joan Marie - 75yrs, of New Albany, NS passed away peacefully on Friday, October 18, 2013 in Soldiers Memorial Hospital, Middleton. Born in Middleton, she was a daughter of the late Ernest and Mary Emma (Varner) Feener. Joan devoted her life to raising her family and loved her family dearly, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed crocheting and knitting and will be sadly missed by her many friends and family. She is survived by her sons, Broderick D., New Albany; Lawrence D. (Shelley), Nictaux South; Christopher A. (Terri), Waterville; sister, Shirley (Jack) Somers, Eastern Passage; brothers, Roy (Etta) Feener, Lawrencetown, Halifax Co.; Douglas (Joan) Feener and Ron Feener, both of New Albany; grandchildren, Christine, Cory, Kyle, Ryan, Josh, Kelsey, Ashley and Chelsey and four great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Vincent "Junior" Gaul; sisters, Verna Whynot; Ruby Embrett; brothers, Carl Feener, Mervyn Feener, Cecil Feener, James Feener; niece Shirley Jean Warwick and nephews Boyd Whynot and Allan Whynot. Cremation has taken place. A private family graveside service will be held at a later date. Donations in Joan's memory may be made to the charity of choice.
