Grant (Connell), Joan Marie ~ 72 of Bridgetown, Annapolis Co., NS, passed away on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, in Valley Hospice, Kentville, NS. Born on July 19, 1953, to parents, Frederick and Ruth (Oliver) Connell. Joan loved to garden, especially flowers. She married Blair Grant and was a housewife most of her life. In her younger years, she enjoyed beach combing in Hampton, NS. Joan is survived by her children, Rick Donnington, Dartmouth, NS; Ross Acker (Carmel), Kentville, NS; Jason Ring (Georgina), Bear River, NS; grandchildren, Melissa Ring, Cathleen, Nick, and Chelsy; siblings, Ross Connell (Betty Lou), Kingston, NS; Doreen Connell, Kingston, NS; Shirley Giles (Richard), Aylesford, NS; Rose Hannam, Bridgetown, NS; Gary Connell (Sonya), Bloomington, NS; Karen Trimper (Curtis), NL; many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Joan is predeceased by her husband, Blair Grant; brother, Allison Connell; sister, Betty Robar; nephews, Colin Connell and Lee Robar. All are welcome to attend a graveside service at 1:00 p.m., on Saturday, January 10, 2026 , in Nictaux Cemetery, with Rev. Milne officiating.
