HANNAM (Fredericks), Joan Loretta of Dartmouth passed away Tuesday, June 25, 2013 in the Dartmouth General Hospital. Joan was born on October 31, 1945 at Carleton Corner in Bridgetown, Annapolis County to the late Warren and Alberta (Veinott) Fredericks. Joan was a loving wife of 43 years to Garnett Hannam. She is survived by brothers; Warren (Lila) Fredericks, Bridgetown; Jack Fredericks, New Hampshire; sisters; Goldie Vidito, Bridgetown; May Harris, Bridgetown and Audrey Young, Kentville and will be dearly missed by nieces and nephews. Joan was employed by the Province of Nova Scotia in Human Resources for 18 ½ years. Joan enjoyed gardening, loved animals and enjoyed travelling, especially to Florida. She served on the executive of St. George's Tennis Club for several years and enjoyed playing tennis. The family wishes to thank all the doctors and nurses who took care of Joan during her time of illness and also all those who visited her and sent well wishes. Visitation will be held 7:00-9:00PM Friday, June 28, 2013 in the Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main Street (902) 825-3448 where the funeral will be held 2:00PM, Saturday, June 29, 2013 with Rev. Jay Guptill officiating. A reception will follow the service. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery, Bridgetown.
