It is with great sadness the family of Joanne Rose, Middleton, NS announce her peaceful passing on Sunday, January 25th, 2026, at the age of 82 with her family by her side. Born in Halifax, Joanne was the oldest daughter of Ted White and Margaret Bellefountaine. She was predeceased by her parents and her sisters Susan and Alice. She is survived by her sister Terry. Nana will be deeply missed by the lights of her life - her grandchildren who brought her incredible joy and laughter from the moment they were born. She loved to remind them that she was the Matriarch.  She will be dearly missed by her loving and devoted husband Carl - her husband of 64 years, as well as her daughters, Patty (Roy) and Sherry. Nana is survived by her grandchildren, Jessie (Brandon); Hannah (David); Patrick (Briah); Adam (Charline); and Gavin; as well as her beloved sisters-in-law, Ann, Margaret, and Doris.  She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Along with her love of family and friends, Joanne will always be remembered for her lifelong love of dogs, birds, and flowers, as well as extreme Christmas celebrations - all passions she passed on and shared with her daughter Patty. In keeping with Joanne's wishes, there will be no service or visitation. Interment will take place at a later date.
