JOHN BARRON
It is with profound sadness that we the family of John Cornelius Barron announce his sudden passing on Friday June 16, 2017. John was a resident of Wilmot, Nova Scotia. John was born in North Sydney, Cape Breton Island on March 6, 1951 to Jean and Cornelius Barron. John was an extremely dedicated family man who truly cherished his life with his two sons and his wife of 31 years Arlene. John took great pride in his "Boy's" accomplishments and every conversation with his boys ended with "I love you son".
Behind John's quiet demeanor, was a true gentleman who loved to laugh and play pranks. He loved Cape Breton traditional fiddle music and took great pride in his son Michael's musical talents, particularly in playing the fiddle. He and his son Carl shared many laughs together and had a very special bond.
John and his wife were inseparable and always enjoyed their daily, sometimes overly competitive game of Tarbish or Crib.
Since John's early childhood he was Chicago Blackhawks' number one fan and took great pride when they won the Stanley Cup.
John was predeceased by his parents, Jean and Cornelius Barron. He is survived by his loving wife, Arlene and his two sons, Mike (Danielle) and Carl, brothers, Steve (Deana), Tim (Linda) Clifford (Joan), sisters, Robin Barron (Jerry), Paula Terry (Linden) and Vangie Leger (Bill).
A visitation for John will be held at Dooley's Funeral Home in North Sydney on Thursday, June 22, from 7 – 9 P.M. Funeral service will be held at St Joseph's Roman Catholic Church on Friday, June 23 at ll:00 A.M.
Donations may be made in memory of John C. Barron to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of your choice.
