BRUCE, John Adelbert - 75 of Meadowvale passed away Saturday, January 5, 2013 at home surrounded by his family. Born in Middleton, he was a son of the late Frank E. and Beatrice A. (Ritchie) Bruce. In early years John spent three years in the Canadian Army, but later had various jobs, mostly in the construction industry. He enjoyed music, especially playing his guitar and hunting. John is survived by his wife the former Lorna Hudson; sons John Bruce (Marion), Ottawa, Jerry Bruce (Shelley), Aylesford and Justin Bruce (Consuelo), Kingston, NS; daughters Janet (Kevin) Westlake, Hants County and Jacqueline (James) McCullough, Plympton, Digby County. Stepsons Aaron (Sharyn) Halliday, Peachland, B.C. and Adam (April) Halliday, Greywood, Annapolis County; 16 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Predeceased by brother Frank and sisters Eileen and Lorraine and one grandson Stephan. Cremation has taken place and there will be no service by request.
