Obituary

CAMPBELL, John (Jack) Clyde - 78, of Greenwood, passed away peacefully Thursday, January 29, 2015, in the Soldiers Memorial Hospital, Middleton. Born in Truro, NS he was the son of the late Charles and Ruth (Ayling) Campbell. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Jessie (Fillier) of Greenwood; sons, Robert (Jo-Anne), Orillia, ON; John (Vickie), Lakeville, NS; Dennis (Ann), Bridgetown, NS; daughter Deborah (Peter), Amherst, NS; grandchildren, Christopher, David, Michelle, Caleb, Heather, Alicia, Michael, and Alex; great-grandsons, Noah, Aiden, Ethan, Gavin, and Eric; brothers, Bill (Judy), Carstairs, AB; Horace, Yukon; sister, Barb (Abe) Kroeger, Saskatoon, SK. Predeceased by sister, Maria (David) Murphy, Cooking Lake, AB. Jack was a member of the RCAF for 32 years and retired in 1985 in Greenwood. He was an avid hockey fan and spent many hours in the rink with his sons to cheering for his favorite team on TV. Jack enjoyed gardening, travelling in his latest RV, spending time with the grandchildren, and the many walks with his wife. Visitation will be held from 2 - 4 p.m, and 6 - 8 p.m. Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at the Middleton Funeral Home Ltd. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, February 4, 2015 in Holy Trinity Anglican Church of Canada, Middleton, Reverend Paul Jennings officiating with a reception to follow. Burial to be held at the Holy Trinity Cemetery after the service. Jack would appreciate any consideration of donations to the Holy Trinity Anglican Church of Canada or a charity of your choice. The family wish to thank the staff of the Soldiers Memorial Hospital, Valley Regional Hospital, Annapolis Valley at Home Senior Care, and the VON for their care of Jack.
