MILLS, John Gordon – age 74, of Cambridge, Kings Co., formerly of Lake Dalrymple, Ont., passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 8, 2017, in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Annapolis Royal, on May 12, 1943, he was a son of the late Gordon William and Zora Adelaide (Dukeshire) Mills. John attended school in Granville Ferry and Annapolis Royal Regional Academy, where he graduated in 1962. Upon graduation, he moved to Toronto, Ont., where he worked for Shell Canada for a couple of years. John then went on to work for Union Carbide (Praxair), retiring after a successful career in 1991as a I.T. Manager. Surviving is the love of his life, his wife of 52 years the former Nancy D. Huntley; sister, Irene (Ray) Carlson, Florida; niece, Deborah; nephews, Lance and Dale. In keeping with John's wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation or funeral service. Interment will take place at a later date in the Stoney Beach Cemetery.
