SUDSBEAR, John F., C.D. ~ Age 66, of Kingston, Kings Co., N.S., passed away suddenly on Monday, December 8, 2025, at home. Born on September 1, 1959, in Saint John, New Brunswick, he was a son of the late Robert E.B. and Mary M. (Martin) Sudsbear. John was a graduate of Simonds High School, Saint John, New Brunswick. He completed 35 honourable years of service in the Canadian Armed Forces, as a Combat Engineer and then remustering to Construction Engineer. During his military career he had 10 postings and eight deployments. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golf, darts and spending time with his grand babies. Surviving are his wife of 40 years, the former Lori L. Slater; daughter, Jessica Sudsbear (Aaron) Ackles, Enfield; son, Justin (Lily Rose) Sudsbear, Greenwood; grandchildren, Mary-Jane Rankin and Declan Sudsbear-Ackles; sisters, Debbie (Rob) Molasky, Joyce (the late William) Hackett, Robert (Cathy) Sudsbear, Susan Stout (Brian Robertson) and Kenneth (Rose) Sudsbear, all of Saint John area of New Brunswick; brother-in-law, Scott (Colleen) Slater, Burlington, Ontario; several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and cousins. In keeping with John's wishes there will be no visitation or funeral service.  Donations in his memory may be made to Wounded Warriors Canada or to Royal Canadian Legion Branch No. 98, Kingston.
