HARRIS, Jon Kenneth – Age 59, Greenwood Square, Kings Co., passed away suddenly on Tuesday, September 25, 2018, at home. Born in Berwick, Kings Co., he was a son of Valera E. (Tupper) Harris - Hoeksema, Grand View Manor, Berwick, and the late Frank E. Harris. Jon's life was forever changing and was a man who loved his family and extended family. Jon enjoyed stock car racing # 98, motorcycles and anything with wheels. He was a joke teller and loved to laugh. Jon loved being in nature, where the sun could warm his soul. Besides his mother, he is survived by his wife of 20 years, the former Carla V. Freeman; son, Christopher (Ruby Hamilton) Harris, Kingston; daughter, Lisa (Brian) Berkman, Colorado; grandchildren, Brandon, Curtis and Caleb; brother, Ron (Cathy) Harris, Sackville; sister, Nancy (Brian) Boddy, Kingston; nieces and nephews. Besides his father, he was predeceased by son, Larry Hannam; step-father, Gerard Hoeksema. There will be no visitation or service and a private time in celebration of his life will take place at a later date. Donations to Heart & Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia, Kingston District Fire Department or to any charity. The family would like to say a special thank you to Kingston District Fire Department, E.M.S. Paramedics and Kingston Detachment of R.C.M.P., for their quick response to save a life that was lost.
