Obituary

ELLS, Joseph Joe 84 of Nictaux passed away at home Wednesday, August 10, 2011. Born in Centreville, Kings County he was a son of the late Bill and Odessa (Steele) Ells. Joe worked as a mechanic for many years and later in life worked with refrigeration at 14 Wing, Greenwood. He had a passion for music since the day he was born and was well known for his talent. Joe loved his family, especially all his grandchildren. He is survived by his fiance Faye Crouse, by whose family he was dearly loved. Children, Rose (Dave) Crouchman, Windsor, NS; Bill Betts and Karen Rhyno-Betts, Yarmouth, NS; Leona Baker, Middleton ; Tammy (Shawn) Lorette, St. Brieux, Sask and daughter at heart, Gloria Gallant, Auburn, NS. Twelve grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife the former Dorothy Medicraft, son, George and daughter in law Linda, sister, Augusta, brothers, Garfield, John and Murray and a granddaughter Michelle. By request, there will be no visitation. A funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Sunday, August 14th in the Middleton Funeral Home 398 Main St., (902) 825-3448 Rev. Vaughan Henshaw officiating. Interment will be in the Hillside Cemetery, Port George. By request, family flowers only. Donations in memory may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or to a charity of choice.
