LIGHTIZER, Joseph Glengyle "Glen"-aged 79 of Kingston, NS passed away Friday, November 22, 2013 in Soldiers Memorial Hospital, Middleton, NS. Born in Berwick, he was a son of the late Joseph Archibald and Ruby Pearl (Baltzer) Lightizer. He delighted in entertaining and to gather with other musicians and play the old country classics. An avid conversationalist he was most at home in the company of good friends. He enjoyed being out on the ocean, an astute and accomplished sailor he was also a keen fisherman. Glen led an adventurous life for many years & passed away peaceful and placid after suffering several strokes. Glen is survived by his sons, Keith, Lindsay, ON, Scott, Guelph, ON; daughter, Debbie Ruggles, Freeport, Digby County, NS; sister, Judy Lightizer-Hiltz, Greenwood Square and brother, Blaine (Joyce) Lightizer, Donnellans Brook, Kings County, NS; grandchildren, Kate, Sarah, Alora, Shay-Lynn, Eden, Tim and Ben. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his first wife, the former Thelma Joyce Banks and his second wife, the former June Eleanor Cory. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service and interment will be held at a later date. Donations in memory may be made to a charity of choice.
