POTTIE, Joseph Patrick - August 4, 1950 – February 1, 2018, it is with sad hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Joseph Patrick Pottie, 67, of Dartmouth. Born in L'Ardoise, he was the son of the late George and Catherine Pottie, of L'Ardoise. He is survived by brothers, Richard (Clarice), Berwick; Andrew, Halifax; Leroy, Dartmouth; Francis, Victor, Cyril, L'Ardoise; Lauchie (RoseMarie), Rockdale; sisters, Jane (Walter deceased) Martell, Rockdale; Cecilia, Sydney. He was predeceased by sister, Cassy and a brother in infancy. Joseph worked for many years in the forest industry as well as on the pulp boats. He was a hard worker, well-liked by everyone who knew him, always helping anyone who needed a hand. He enjoyed playing sports, like hockey, fast ball, weight lifting and he had a passion for swimming. He was also a jokester, making people laugh. Cremation has taken place. Funeral will be held Saturday, May 5th at 10:30 a.m., in Holy Guardian Angels Church, L'Ardoise. Father Antolin Asor, officiating with burial in the Parish Cemetery.
