Joseph John Vidito ~ age 75 of Nictaux Falls NS, passed away on December 29th, 2025, at home surrounded by his family. He was born on March 8th, 1950, to M. Grace (Gregory) and the late Joseph M. Vidito. Joseph spent many years as a salvage yard operator where he was a mechanic and tow truck driver. He was also a long-time member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Middleton Branch No.1 where he tended bar in his later years. He was an avid crib player and played almost daily with friends who were kind enough to move the game to his kitchen when it became more difficult for him to leave the house. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Eva (Corkum), Nictaux Falls; son, Edward Vidito ( Lori), Wilmot; and daughters, Patricia Balcom (John) Nictaux; and Tammy Boyd (Greg) Meadowvale; grandchildren, Megan Balcom, Alissa Balcom, Leah Vidito and Wyatt Boyd; nephew Christopher Vidito (Sarah Bush), Nictaux Falls and great nephew, Reese; as well as many cousins. Besides his father, he was predeceased by his brothers, Michael and Russell (Rusty). In keeping with Joseph's wishes, cremation has taken place. A legion tribute service will be held 11:00AM Saturday, January 3, 2026, in Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main Street, toll free 1-855-825-3448. All are welcome. Interment will be in Nictaux Cemetery. Donations in memory may be made to the Lung Association of Nova Scotia or to the charity of your choice.
