ANTHONY, Joyce Mildred - age 81 of Wilmot passed away Monday, July 24, 2017 at home with her family by her side. Born in Mt. Pleasant, Digby County, she was a daughter of the late Grace Darling (Handspiker) and Clarence Henry Dugas. Joyce was a faithful member of the Holy Trinity Anglican Church, a member of the A.C.W and of the Rosemary Chapter IODE. She will be remembered by her family as being a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. Joyce is survived by her husband Hulbert "Hub"Anthony, daughter Merry MacCallum (Floyd Travis) of Haidi Gwaii, BC; son Wayne MacCallum of Alberta; sister, Eileen (Dave) Smith of Dartmouth; brother Luke Dugas (Liz Durling) of Digby and Carl Dugas of Dartmouth; step-daughters Sandra (David) Griffin of Upper Canard, Carol (Richard) Griffin of Welsford; Karen Anthony (James LeBlanc) of Calgary, AB and Susan Anthony of  Berwick; grandchildren Lisa (Ken) Smith, Chelsy McDavid, Tyrel McDavid, Meredith MacCallum and Megan MacCallum; great-grandchildren Shannon Smith and Evan Smith. Joyce was predeceased by her first husband Boyd MacCallum, her mother Grace Dugas, her father Clarence Dugas, son Michael MacCallum and brothers  Archie Dugas and Jackie Dugas. In keeping with Joyce's wishes, cremation has taken place. A visitation will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, July 29th in the Middleton Funeral Home 398 Main St., (902) 825-3448 with a memorial service commencing at 11 AM with Rev. Paul Jennings officiating.
