BARKHOUSE, Judith Anne "Judy"
– Age 65, Waterville, Kings Co., passed away peacefully on Friday, February 23, 2018, in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born on March 6, 1952, in Berwick, Kings Co., she was a daughter of the late John H. and Dorothy V. (Gould) Doherty. Judy was employed at Sawler Gardens for 43 years until being diagnosed with terminal cancer. Surviving are her husband, David "Dave" Bezanson, Waterville; children, Denise, Coldbrook; Dana, Kentville; step-daughters, Sandy (Ron), London, Ont.; Tabatha (Jared), Alberta; four grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; brothers, Stewart (Eleanor), Murray (Vivencia), Timmy, all of Black Rock; Chris (Nenita), Kentville; Laurie (Sandra), Aylesford; sisters, Lorraine (Peter), Chester; Connie, Cambridge; Cindy (Gerry), Black Rock; several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by a brother, Gerald. There will be no visitation. Memorial service will take place at 2 p.m., Wednesday, February 28, in Black Rock Baptist Church, 1248 Russia Rd., Black Rock. Pastor Marie McCallum officiating, assisted by Pastor Christina Bigelow, with a reception to follow in the Black Rock Culture and Recreation Hall. Interment in East Black Rock Cemetery, at a later date. Family flowers only, donations in her memory may be made to Canadian Cancer Society, Carey Me – Supporting Palliative Care in the Home or to a charity of the donor's choice. The family would like to say a special thank you to Katrina Patterson of Palliative Care as well to the Oncology Department at Valley Regional Hospital and at the Dickson Centre, Halifax. A
