Obituary

HERRINGTON, Judith Ann-68 of Clarence, Annapolis County died April 7, 2011 in Soldiers Memorial Hospital, Middleton. She was a daughter of the late Ralph and Fayetta (MacKenzie) Foster. Judys occupation was secretarial work. In her early years she worked at the Greenwood Base. Later she was employed at Saint Marys University, Halifax and for the majority of her years before retirement she was employed at the College of Geographic Sciences, Lawrencetown. She also worked tirelessly for her church in Clarence for many years as organist and clerk. After her retirement she and her husband, Bob, travelled frequently though out the Maritimes. Judy was predeceased by her husband, Robert Eugene Herrington. She is survived by her brother, Bruce (Dolina), Middleton; niece, Christine and family, Coldbrook; nephew, Richard (Cindy) and family, Lower Sackville and several cousins. Also surviving are her mother in-law, Sylvia Herrington, Clarence; brothers and sisters -in-law, Ian (Nancy) Herrington, Clarence; Kevin Herrington, Halifax; Donnie (Barb) Herrington, Brampton, ON; Carole (Vic) Gammer, Kamloops, BC; Vera Raeburn, Hampton, NB; Marilyn (Paul) Ketchum, Quispamsis, NB; Sharon Nichols, Fredericton, NB and stepson, Rick Herrington, Penticton, BC. Cremation has taken place. By request there will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held 2:00PM, Monday, April 11, 2011 in the Middleton Funeral Home , 398 Main Street, (902) 825-3448 with Rev. Leon Langille officiating. Interment will be held in the Pine Grove Cemetery, Middleton. Donations in memory may be made to the Lung Association of Nova Scotia.
