Thompson, June Marguerite – Age 81 of Lawrencetown Annapolis Co., passed away with family by her side Monday, April 25, 2022, in QEII Health Sciences Centre, Halifax Infirmary Hospital, Halifax. Born November 2, 1940, in Middleton to the late Lloyd and Martha (Morris) Barteaux. June was an associate member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch No. 112 Lawrencetown for many years. She was a long-time member of the Lawrencetown Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. June was very involved with the Youth Arena and was one of their first announcers. She enjoyed bowling, darts, cards, and crib and was famous for her coconut cream pies. June is survived by her husband of 65 yrs., George Thompson; sons, Edward, Lawrencetown, Jeffrey (Karen), Golden Days Beach, Alb., Chris (Bonnie) Thompson, Clarence; daughter, Deborah (Patrick) Hagen, Meadowvale; daughter at heart, Kelly Bakken; sister, Mary Barteaux (Gordon Toole), South Farmington; sisters-in-law, Jackie Barteaux, Chrysler, Ont., Denise Barteaux, Nictaux; grandchildren, Jennifer (Tyler), Chrystyn (Chris), Janene (Marty), Alyssa (Colten), Jordan (Allana) Daphne, Laicy (Devon) George (Kayleigh), Gregory (Tabitha) and Ryan; great grandchildren, Shelby, Hailey, Lillian, Maddox, Evelynn, Jeffrey, William, Kristen, Levi, Elliott and Wyatt: several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, June was predeceased by her brothers, Carl and David and son, Alan. A memorial service will take place at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 3 ^rd in Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main St., toll free 1-855-825-3448 with Rev. Eugene Foster officiating.
