Katherine "Kathy" Lynn Cormier

Cormier, Katherine Lynn “Kathy” – 71, of Tremont, passed away on Wednesday, 21 October, 2026 at Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital, Middleton. Born in Arvida, Quebec, she was the daughter of the late Albert McNutt and Patricia Hrycko.

Kathy is survived by her husband of 48 yrs, Gerry Cormier, daughter Krystal, son Todd, grandchildren Trinity, Tanner, Liam, and Nolan.

Kathy was especially active in St. Mark's Protestant Chapel, volunteering there for over 17 yrs, leading the choir and becoming a licensed Lay Minister. She later became a regular participant at All Saints Anglican in Kingston. “Brown Owl” was also very active in Girl Guides retiring as District Commissioner.

Kathy lived through 71 years of a difficult medical journey with remarkable grace, strength, and dignity. Despite living with chronic pain from infancy, she remained funny, positive, and full of light. She was truly one of the strongest people we have ever known.

Kathy loved her family deeply and taught us so much about resilience, courage, and love. We are forever grateful for the love she gave us, the fight she fought, and the countless memories she leaves behind. She will be missed more than words can ever express.

We take great comfort in knowing that Kathy is finally free from pain, at peace, and reunited with her mom and Baba.

In keeping with Kathy’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation nor funeral service. There will be a celebration of life 2:00 pm on Thursday, 19 November, 2026, at Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main Street, 1-855-825-3448 with Rev.
