Kathleen Agnes
Comer
September 24, 1920 – January 20, 2020
COMER, Kathleen Agnes "Kaye" , precious child of God and beloved wife of William "Bill" died at home on Monday, January 20, 2020, in the arms of her family. Her birth on September 24, 1920, began a love story with Jesus that would last her lifetime. This great love was shared with her devoted husband who cherished her for 75 years. On a foundation of faith and fortitude, they built a loving life together, first in Woodside, then Dartmouth and Porter's Lake, and lastly at Kabileigh in Annapolis Valley. They welcomed eight children; her tender hands cared for us and strengthened us. She was a gentle woman of grace and virtue, seeking only to listen, to encourage, and to pray for others. Her quiet presence was an oasis for family, friends and strangers, where we could discover the well of God's love for us.
Predeceased by her parents, John and Mary Margaret Hoskin; brothers, George (Kathleen), Ernest (Florence), William; sisters, Margaret Rooney (Maurice); Frances Ferguson (Robert); Barbara McKenzie (Boyd).
She will be lovingly missed by Bill and their family, John (Jennifer); James (Lucie); Mary (Brian) Crooks; Robert (Gayle); Katherine (Stephen) Gallagher; Teresa (John) Scalzo; Barry; Gary (Blythe); 14 grandchildren, Victoria Langenmaier (Konrad); Katherine Fellows (Max); Joshua (Heather); Ellen; Billy (Dominique); Danielle Djelic (Lucas); Patrick; Nicholas; Jonathan; Michael; Kaleigh Ann Smith (Justin); Peter, Laura and Sara; five great-grandchildren, Jack, Isaac, Charlotte, Cadence, and Abigail; her sister, Marie McAlinden (the late Elbert), and sister-in-law, Doreen.
We are grateful to Dr. Michele Saxon and her team, the clergy and parishioners of St. Monica's Roman Catholic Church, and dear friends and relatives who have blessed her way. If you wish to make a memorial donation, St. Monica's Catholic Women's League and L'Arche (Homefires) were a special part of her life.
