Obituary

CRISP, Kathleen LeVaughn "Kitty" - 95 of Brickton, Annapolis County passed away peacefully at home Saturday, August 16, 2014 surrounded by her family. Born in Brickton, she was a daughter of the late David William and Hattie (Wentzell) Bezanson. Kitty was a former member of both the Clarence and Lawrencetown Baptist Churches and presently a member of the Paradise United Baptist Church. In earlier years she was a member of the Clarence Baptist Church Auxiliary. She was a well-known seamstress in her community for many years and also showed her quilts competitively at the Annapolis Valley Exhibition for over 50 years. Surviving are daughters Betty Anne Moore, Lawrencetown, June Connors, Paradise and Sandra (George) Lilly, Paradise; son Roger (Marilyn) Crisp, Nashwaak Village, NB; 10 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Kitty was predeceased by her husband Thornton; sisters Susie, Hannah, Winnie, Myrtle, Mary and Alice; brothers Paul, Gordon, Percy, Archie and Vernon. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, August 19th in the Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main St., (902) 825-3448. The funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 20th in the Paradise United Baptist Church with Rev. Mark Reece officiating. Interment will be in the Fairview Cemetery, Lawrencetown. A reception for family and friends will be held following the service at the Paradise Community Hall. Donations in memory may be made to the Paradise United Baptist Church Building Fund.
