MAGWOOD, Kathleen (Kaye) Barbara ~ age 89 of Middleton and formerly of Bridgetown passed away on Wednesday, November 3, 2021, in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Dartmouth, NS, she was a daughter of the late Albert and Lyda (Pettipas) Brewer.

Kaye was a Medical Assessor for Medical Services Insurance (MSI) for many years. She was a talented handcrafter, but her true talent was rug hooking. Kaye was a former President of the Nova Scotia Rug Hooking Guild and Rug School teacher in the Guild's early years. She continued teaching at her home for many years.

She loved to travel, and her all-time favourite destination was Las Vegas, and never the shy one, took part in Magician Chris Angel's stage show, as well as posing with members of "Thunder From Down Under".

Kaye was affectionately known as "Boma" to her grandchildren, their friends, and most of the neighborhood.

She is the last surviving member of her immediate family. Kaye is survived by her daughter, Leslie Magwood, Middleton; grandchildren, Michelle (Chris) England, Middleton; Jonathan Magwood, Middleton; great grandchildren, Hailey Silver (Her Millennium Angel), Reiken England (her number one boy), Jedrik England (her after school ice cream partner) and Bexton England (her 'Fortnight' teacher); several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Jack, son Christopher, brother Harris Brewer and sister Lorraine Flemming.

In keeping with Kaye's wishes, cremation has taken place. A private family graveside service will be held at a later date in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Lower Sackville.
