Blades, Kathryn Mary – Age 76 of Port Lorne, Annapolis Co., passed away Tuesday, October 3, 2023, in Soldiers' Memorial Hospital, Middleton. Born in Saint John, NB on November 26, 1946, she was an adopted daughter of the late Cecil and Margaret (Dodge) Ormiston. Kathie is survived by her husband, Carl Blades, Port Lorne; son, Duncan, Philadelphia; grandchildren, Jalmer, St. George, ON, Cody, Cassie, Conner and Caylee of Florida. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by daughters, Heather and Carla; beloved dog, Drako. Kathie worked for Annapolis County Home Support and VON for several years. She was a devoted community volunteer in Elderbank. Cremation has taken place. A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, October 21, 2023, in St. Andrew's United Church Cemetery, Elderbank, Halifax Co. Rev. Allan Lynk officiating.
