Obituary

ALCORN, Keith George – age 85 of Middleton, NS passed away Wednesday, October 19, 2016 in Soldiers Memorial Hospital, Middleton. Born in Bear River, he was a son of the late Murray and Marjorie (Jefferson) Alcorn. Keith was a veteran of the Second World War serving in the Canadian Army, Northern Patrol. He later owned a dealership for farm equipment and loved sailing, horses, dogs, playing golf and dancing. Keith was a member of Royal Canadian Legion, Lawrencetown Branch No. 112. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, the former Sheila Faye Hewitt; daughters, Debbie (Stan) Green and their daughter Britni Green, Calgary; Brenda (Rick) Ball, Calgary; step-son, Barry (Cheryl) McEwen, Digby; sisters, Barbara (Robert) Bouvette, Halifax; Peggi Alcorn, Dartmouth; brother, Larry Alcorn, Dartmouth; 6 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by daughter Lynn; son Ron; sisters Shirley, Doris and Aileen; brothers Joe, Don and Glendon. In keeping with Keith's wishes, cremation has taken place and there will no service at this time. Interment will be held at a later date in the Round Hill Cemetery. Donations in memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or Heart & Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia. Arrangements have been entrusted to Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main St., (902) 825-3448.
