Obituary

HAMMONS, Keith Stanley - 81, of Wilmot passed away, after a lengthy illness, on Monday, February 20, 2012 in Grand View Manor, Berwick, N.S. Born in Liverpool, England, he was the son of the late Arthur James and Lilian (Davis) Hammons. He and his late wife, Marjorie (Harris) operated Nova Rubber Stamps since 1969. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #98, a Legion Singer, a member of the Wilmot Garden Club and the Annapolis Valley Tropical Fish Club. He is survived by daughters, Bernice (Philip) Reid of St. Thomas ON; Lauren (David) Hammons of Aylesford NS; Gwen (Peter) Hammons of Port Stanley ON and Dianne (David) Greencorn of Guysborough, NS; sister-in-law Jean Parker of France. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held Friday, February 24, 2012 in the Middleton Funeral Home 398 Main Street, 825-3448 at 1:00PM until the Royal Canadian Legion Tribute conducted by Kingston Branch #98 begins at 2:00PM. A private burial will take place at Church Grove Cemetery, Melvern Square at a later date. Donations in memory of Keith may be made to the VON or the Kingston Public Library would be great fully acknowledged. Keith's family wish to thank the staff of Grand View Manor and the VON Home Support Workers for everything they did to help make Dads life more comfortable.
