October 16, 1960 – June 12, 2018
Kelly Leigh Fleming (nee) Yetman, of Greenwood, passed away on Tuesday, June 12, 2018 in Soldiers Memorial Hospital in Middleton, surrounded by those who loved her and wished her peace. Born in Halifax, Kelly was the daughter of Caroline (Bastable) Yetman and Robert Yetman. During her life she lived across Nova Scotia, with a short time in Ontario, but eventually returned home where she ended up in Dutch Settlement. She was lucky enough to be a stay at home Mom and raised her daughters there. With her family relocating and her health deteriorating Kelly came to Greenwood to be closer to her family and spent her remaining time with her Mother. She came into this world fighting and put up a good fight during her life but cancer and alzheimer disease took her away from her family. She is survived by her daughters Erin (Gary Smith) Fleming, Edmonton, AB and Shannon Fleming Halifax; mother, Carol Yetman, Greenwood; sisters, Sandra (Jim) Haywood, Kingston; Susan (Ed) Dach, Lloydminster, AB; brothers, Kirk Yetman, Halifax; Darren (Teresa) Yetman, Dartmouth; Scott (Laura Coombs) Yetman, Riverport; grandson, Seth, Edmonton, AB; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her first grandson Jack, who we hope she is now holding. Cremation has taken place with private interment at a later date. We would like to give special thanks to the Nurses and Staff of TCU, Mayflower, and Medical Unit at the Soldiers Memorial Hospital, Middleton where Kelly, when feeling better, enjoyed your kindness, support and care. Thank you also to the VON and Palliative Care who came daily to help Kelly and Mother with her homecare. Kelly got 18 extra days at home and we would like to thank everyone who made that possible. If you would like to make a donation in Kelly's memory to the Canadian Cancer Society or Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia in Kelly's memory, please do so. Arrangements have been entrusted to Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main St. (902)825-3448. Online guest book may be signed by visiting; www.middletonfuneralhome.com
