CORKUM, Kenneth Reid ~ age 76 of Inglisville, NS passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, September 10, 2024, surrounded by his family. Born in Middleton, he was the son of the late Carrol and Laura (Beals) Corkum. In Kenneth's younger years he trained as a heavy equipment operator, scallop fished and later was employed with Lands and Forests at the Lawrencetown Nursery, where he was an equipment operator. After the closure of the nursery, he worked for Municipality of the County of Annapolis at the Crisp Road Incinerator and finished his working career at the Wastewater Treatment Plant in Nictaux. Kenneth was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved his time in the woods and fishing on the bank of the Annapolis River. He is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Janet; son, Desmond Corkum (Tracey Selwah), Inglisville; sister, Marcia (Gary) Wentzell, Brickton; sister at heart, Debbie Hines, Nictaux; grandsons, Timothy, Dalton, Ashton, Ethan; step granddaughter, Jade Combatley; and great grandchildren; nieces, Holly Wentzell, Inglisville; Melissa Marshall, Middleton; nephew, Paul Wentzell, Brickton. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Carol Ann and stepson, Christopher Sabine. A heartfelt thank you to the Palliative Care Team and the VON for all their care and support. In keeping with Kenneth's wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no service.
