MORSE, Kenneth George ~ Age 84, of East Tremont, Kings Co., passed away peacefully in the morning of Tuesday, January 14, 2020, in Soldiers' Memorial Hospital, Middleton, with his daughter, Joanne by his side. Born on October 23, 1935, in Tremont, he was a son of the late Loyd J. and Evelyn M. (Ward) Morse. Kenneth started his working career at Rocknotch Saw Mill at the age of 17, then going on to McMaster Saw Mill until the age of 59, after 42 years of faithful service. He had many passions in life such as being in the woods, growing a vegetable garden, camping and spending time with his wife and daughters. Kenneth enjoyed square dancing and had been a member of Fundy Square group. He loved time spent four wheeling and tractor rides with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.Surviving are his wife of 66 years the former Lillian M. Turner; daughters, Lorraine (George) Desjardins, Gatineau, Que.; Carolyn (Pierre) Levesque, Kingston; Jeannie (Michel) Mercier, Ottawa, Ont.; Joanne (Steven) McDow, East Tremont; grandchildren, Chris, Justin, André, Nicolette, Jean-Marc, Jacqueline, Chantal and Lucy Lou; ten great grandchildren; sisters, Audrey (Arthur) Uhlman, Torbrook; Sylvia (Cyril) Stevenson, Nictaux; brothers, Eldon (the late Beverly) Morse, and Leslie (June) Morse, both of Tremont; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by brother, Ronald (Eileen) Morse and infant brother, Aubrey. Visitation will take place from 7-9 p.m., Friday evening in Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main Street, toll free 1-855-825-3448, from where the funeral service to celebrate Kenneth's life, will take place 2 p.m., Saturday, January 18, with Rev. Barbara Bishop officiating. A reception for family and friends will follow the service. Interment will be in Tremont Cemetery. Donations in his memory may be made to Victorian Order of Nurses – Annapolis Valley Branch or to Carey Me Fund – Supporting Palliative Care in the home.
