Obituary

NEILLY, Kenneth George - August 1, 1942 - February 22, 2014 of Kingston , NS passed away suddenly at home February 22, 2014. George passed away at age 71. He was predeceased by his parents Kenneth and Ruth Neilly. Older brother of Craig Wes Neilly. Survived by only sister, Naomi (Neilly) Blundell and her husband Lloyd of Kingston, Ontario. George retired from the Canadian Armed Forces after 30 years of service at numerous military bases across Canada and Germany. He was a Flight Simulator Technician and a pilot. He enjoyed his many military transfers often crossing Canada with a military father, a brother and sister. He enjoyed his tours of duty at Baden, Germany. He came home with beautiful memories and settled/retired in Kingston, Nova Scotia. He would return a couple of times each year to revisit lasting friends and enjoy the traditional Octoberfest. He was active with his Electronic/Computer business keeping many computer systems up and running. He was known for his quick shift of wit with a hint of humour. He was very fortunate to have such kind neighbours Christine, Peter Curtis and family, also Shaughne Aston of Wolfville, Nova Scotia a kind friend over the years. Cremation has taken place. Private service as per his wishes. He will be left in the "Valley" he so dearly loved. In memory of George a random act of kindness will mean so much.
