DOREY, Kenneth "Ken" Ronald ~ age 82, of Aylesford, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, August 5, 2018 surrounded by his family. Born in Berwick, he was a son of the late Clyde and Ruby (Freeman) Dorey of Morden. Ken worked in construction, and later in electrical maintenance at Michelin. He loved music, playing guitar and singing. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Beulah (Loomer); daughter Carol Anne (Edward) Cowan, Aylesford; granddaughter Erin Cowan, New Minas and great-grandson Hunter; sisters Marjorie Keddy, Morden and Marion Lee, Berwick. Besides his parents, Ken was predeceased by brothers Harold, Lawrence and Carl, in infancy. In keeping with Ken's wishes, cremation has taken place. In lieu of a memorial service, visitation will be held 2 – 4 PM Friday, August 10, 2018 in the Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main St., 902-825-3448. Private family interment will take place in St. Mary's Anglican Cemetery, Auburn at a later date. The family extends their thanks to Mid-Valley Palliative Care and the VON Annapolis Valley Branch for their care and compassion during Ken's illness. By request, family flowers only please.
